Analysis of a Film Opening: Watchmen (2009)
This is an analysis of an existing film opening of 'Watchmen' to help me hopefully decide on a genre for my own film, analysing also helps me find out how the director has built up scenes to their genres.
After analysing this film opening I realise that a 'superhero'/'action' film would be out of my budget as it needs many props and special effects. Although, I do like the mystery side of this film and the use of montage. I think that the montage is an effective way to get through a lot of backstory and would be useful for setting up characters.
