What Equipment Have I Used?

What Equipment Have I Used?

For filming my film opening I have used a wide selection of equipment to get different shots.

I have used:

• Tripod
• Steadicam
• Camera Tracks
• RØDE microphone
• Nikon D3300 Camera

This is all I have used so far in the filming of my filming.

Audio Problems

When doing my first set of filming we found out afterwards that the microphone I was using was broken and only picked up static. The way I'm going to fix this problem is one of two ways either:

1). Dub over the existing footage and line it up the audio

or

2). Re-film the conversation between my two characters, and the other parts that I would like to redo.

Before filming I wanted to make sure my actors were both free at the same time by sending them some text message to organise a time to film together.

Shot List

Before I went out to film I wanted to make sure I had a shot list prepared so that I wouldn't miss any shots when out filming to help minimise my amount of time re-shooting time. This was in my notes on my phone so that I could take it with me and easily look back to it when going on to the next shot.

For my film opening I wanted some ambient background sound to help fill in some of the blank spaces without sound to make them seem more natural in the scene. I decided on some ambient nature sound with some birds jumping but not too distracting to the audience.

This is my second production company logo for the start of my film opening.

When creating my second production logo I wanted to add a blood splatter to it to make more conventional of the crime genre. I was making my logo in Photoshop and my first thought was to add a transparent photo of a blood splatter, but could not find one that I liked. So, I went to https://www.brusheezy.com/   to get a brush of a blood splatter to make my own series of blood splatters.

Font Choices Results

Font Choice Results

To help me with choosing my font and to see what my audience most prefer, and think most fit in with the crime genre.

Some of the responses that I got for these is that most of the options were very 'cartoony' for a crime genre and didn't quite fit with the theme I was going for. So the majority of people went for 'My Underwood' which I agree with and think it is a good choice for the typography of my film.
